Staying Local? Here's What's Unfolding This April Vacation

By Jenna Amyot April 12, 2024

Well, well, well. Another school vacation. If you're feeling pressured to find fun things to do with your families,  my event calendar is pretty packed (and be sure to follow me on Instagram - I'll share anything new that wasn't previously on my radar). In the meantime, here are a few highlights to help you plan your week.

Shriner's *All New* Circus

Presented by the Aleppo Shriners at the Shriners Auditorium in Wilmington, the circus returns for ten shows during April school vacation. This year's performance will feature both returning favorites and all new acts from some of the performers and entertainers in the country - great for all ages. The circus will offer 10 performances during school vacation week from Thursday, April 18-Sunday, April 21, 2024.

Revolutionary War Reenactments (Medford, Arlington)

Hear me out. Paul Revere ride reenactments. Battle reenactments. Free museum tours. And you've got a day off (maybe) on Monday and don't have plans. Sounds like an easy way to keep your kiddos entertained and give them a little history lesson along the way.

Kids Eat Free at Evviva Trattoria

Evviva Trattoria is one of our favorite places to dine. The food is delicious and the kids meals are super generous. You get an entree with a side (and fruit is an option) as well as an ice cream at the end.

Check out Kids Karaoke

My kids love karaoke - if I told them kids karaoke was happening at The Ford Tavern on Monday, they'd ask me every 5 minutes if it was time to go now. So if your kids love belting out their favorite tunes and you're wanting to be around fellow parents who will inevitably be roped into it, I guess we'll see you on Monday.

Enjoy Spring Carnvial Week at Launch Woburn

Want to physically exhaust your kids and add some entertainment into the mix? Check out Launch Woburn's schedule of events for the week! From temporary tattoos to Taylor Swift themed music and a glow party, there's lots of fun to be had at your favorite local trampoline park.

Video Game Day with Medford Police

If your kids love video games but you're holding out on bringing them into your house, the Medford Police Department has an awesome event featuring a giant gaming truck!
