HAPPY PLACE Brightens Boston with Immersive Pop-Up Experience Interactive exhibit brings lively colors and gigantic smiles to Boston for a limited engagement, following sold-out runs in Los Angeles, Chicago and Toronto What:HAPPY PLACE, an interactive, immersive pop-up exhibit dubbed “the most Instagrammable pop-up in America” (Urban Daddy), with larger-than-life installations and multi-sensory themed rooms, will brighten the lives of Bostonians with its East Coast debut at 500 Boylston Street starting Friday, April 5. The innovative experience helps people “find their happy” while exploring 12 vibrant rooms. HAPPY PLACE features 13,000 square feet of whimsical spaces, happy moments, and photo-friendly fantasy rooms including a Super Bloom room filled with 40,000 handmade gold flowers for the perfect photogenic floral backdrop, an Upside Down room that defies gravity and bends reality, six-foot tall X’s and O’s covered in thousands of mirrored squares and surrounded by red lips, the World’s Largest Indoor Confetti Dome, a Giant Rainbow complete with a Pot of Happiness to jump into, the signature Rubber Ducky Bathtub of Fun and the new and wildly popular Cookie Room, which is like stepping inside of your favorite chocolate chip cookie complete with the aroma of fresh baked cookies. For a distinctively local spin, HAPPY PLACE is sprinkled with hand painted works by Coco Roy a Boston filmmaker, musician and painter. The word “Happy” is spelled out in oversized, illuminated letters in front of a hand painted wall of floor-to-ceiling clovers and references to the city’s championship sports teams.
