Can you feel it? Dare I say... spring is in the air? My son's allergies definitely seem to be ramping back up, so if your kids are prone to seasonal allergies, it may be time to dust off the Zyrtec!
There are some great, low key events happening this weekend, so if you're still working through a Daylight Savings Time sleep deficit, these may be for you!
Saturday: Book Fair + Story Time (Burlington)
If you've ever wanted to check out Safari Kid in Burlington, an early education center, this is a great opportunity to do that, because they're hosting a book fair and a story time.
Saturday + Sunday: Castleberry Spring Arts & Craft Festival (Wilmington)
I love a craft festival, especially one that comes with a side of baked goods, dips and oils to choose from! This one also promises "British desserts" so if you're a fan of the Great British Bakeoff, you may find something from that beloved TV show.
Sunday: Kids Painting on the Green at 3rd Ave (Burlington)
Another plug from one of my favorite recurring events - painting at 3rd Ave. This week, they're focusing on axolotls, the beloved (and endangered) animal made popular by Minecraft! This event is open to kids of all ages. Even my 2-year old loved it!
Sunday: Family Music Day (Arlington)
If you want to expose your kids to live music, this is a great event to do that. It promises instrument demonstrations and games, prizes, face painting and snacks!
Sunday: Books and Brews Bookfair (Burlington)
I love Common Craft (here's proof) and this bookfair is a great way to take your family to this awesome spot and keep kiddos engaged. I almost never say no when my kids want a new book because I love their love of reading and I know that we'll rehome all the books they outgrow. So, if you're wanting to embrace the warmer weather (and it's dry), you can enjoy the patio at Common Craft while also supporting small business.
Sunday: Indoor Pool Party (Arlington)
How can you say "no" to an indoor pool party, especially one that benefits Arlington Family Connection and Arlington Boys & Girls Club? This one will offer an hour of pool time, games and pizza! You must register in advance, so know before you go!
