October? Already? I can't be the only one who feels like that, right? One great thing about October is that pretty soon I'll be publishing my very popular Halloween Event Guide and fall events in our communities are some of my favorite of the year! There are some great ones on deck and below are my top picks. Have fun!
Medford: Fall Fest Membership Open House & Pizza Party (Friday)
If you love The Village Playspace in Medford, you'll be excited to know that it's now offering memberships and you can learn more about it Friday, 4:30-6 p.m., while enjoying pizza and supporting a great local cause: the Medford Micro Food Pantry. Admission is free, but a donation of $10/child is suggested.
Medford: Friday Family Fun Night (Friday)
The Medford Family Network is back with its Friday Fun Nights, which is basically a free-for-all play night with toys for you kiddos to enjoy - for free! Located in the Medford High gym, kiddos can enjoy parachute play, balance beams, a life-sized Connect Four and more.
Winchester: Halloween Movie Night Featuring Coco (Friday)
Kids Corner in Winchester is hosting its annual Halloween movie night, featuring Coco! You can pre-order pizza or pack some snacks of your own. Seating is first come, first served and I recommend you bring your own blanket or chairs.
Burlington: Trucktober (Saturday)
Ok, this is NOT a touch-a-truck, but it is an event to enjoy all of your favorite food trucks at once. And honestly, I eat most of my meals standing or chasing after kids, so this is an opportunity to embrace it with your fellow parents.
Arlington: Oktobefrest (Saturday)
I love the popularity of Oktoberfest events and this is one of two this weekend, but at Arlington's historic Old Schwamb Mill. And, this one is promising children's activities in addition to food and music. Admission is $5/person or $15/family.
Medford: Oktoberfest (Saturday)
This weekend's second Oktoberfest is in Medford Square with live music, a beer garden by the Medford Brewing Company and activities courtesy of the Medford Recreation Center.
Medford: Brooks 9th Annual Fall Festival (Sunday)
Fall Fest is back at Brooks Elementary School, bringing with it carnival games, rides, music and more!
