Happy Friday, folks! It's going to be a gorgeous fall weekend, which is great news for everyone who's been waiting for Wilmington's Fall Fest! Below are this weekend's event highlights. But, as always, my event calendar is packed, so be sure to check that out. Have a great weekend!
Medford: Run Medford, Friday + Saturday
Run Medford is back this weekend with kids' fun runs (Friday) and a race on Saturday (option for a 2-mile walk, too!).
Wilmington: Fall Fest (Saturday)
If you wanted all the fun wrapped in one, Wilmington's Fall Fest is where it's at. From Touch-A-Truck, Antique Car Shows, Inflatable Parks to Corn Hole Tournaments, a Petting Zoo and more, there's something for everyone on Saturday.
Arlington: The Great Northeast Jug Band Festival (Saturday)
If you've ever lamented not being alive for the fun of the 20s and 30s , then this festival is for you. This event will bring together the region's best jug bands, playing hits from the 1920s and 1930s. And our local brewers will be there hosing a beer garden.
Medford: Wrights Pond Regatta (Sunday)
Formerly known as the Cardboard Canoe Race, the Wrights Pond Regatta will take place on Sunday, Sept. 29 10-1. Families will compete with their best cardboard canoes, with funds benefitting the Friends of Medford Recreation, a nonprofit that helps the Medford Recreation Department bring together awesome activities.
Medford: Tufts Community Day (Sunday)
Tufts Community Day is a family-friendly day that offers free, live performances, kids STEM activities, crafts and more (including a free barbecue lunch)! It's the perfect way to spend a Sunday, IMHO.
