I don't know about you, but I'm ready to put on my out of office! With the Fourth being on Tuesday, I'm combining my usual weekend event lineup with festivities for the Fourth so you can plan your weekends and holiday appropriately! Wishing you all a happy, safe and fun-filled Fourth of July!
Condon Shell Summer Concert Series (Medford), Thursday, 6:30 p.m.
Summer concerts are back at the Condon Shell in Medford! Surrounded by the Farmer's Market, you can get everything in all at once - shopping, outdoor green space, live music! The Medford Family Network is usually on site with game for the kiddos, too.
Family Movie Night (Medford), Friday, 7 p.m.
A great way to soak in summer, have a chill night with the family and watch a movie outside? Sounds good to me! This Friday, families can enjoy a screening of the Super Mario Bros. movie at the Rivers Edge for free! Pack a picnic and bring a blanket or chair and enjoy lawn games followed by a movie.
Fun on the Fourth (Wilmington), Thursday-Tuesday, various times
This is a PERFECT Fourth of July event. It reminds me of one that my town used to organize when I was growing up - a carnival, live music, fireworks. It starts on Thursday and goes through Tuesday. Theres a complete event schedule, so check it out before you go.
Circus Minimus (Medford), Friday, 3 p.m.
The Medford Public Library has a fun event for littles on Friday afternoon - a one man circus in a suitcase. No registration required!
Children's Playtime Series (Woburn), Saturday, 10 a.m.
The Woburn Village is creating some awesome family-friendly events, including its monthly playtime series. This Saturday, stop by the green space between Tavern in the Square and Surf for some kid-friendly fun.
2023 Arlington Craft Beer Garden (Arlington), Saturday, 2 p.m.
So many beer gardens popping up around our cities/towns lately! Parents love them because you can try a local brew and there are usually lawn games for kids to play.
Annual Fourth of July Parade (Burlington), Tuesday, 11 a.m.
If you're looking for a traditional Fourth of July parade, the town of Burlington has you covered! The parade kicks off at 11 a.m., though roads close at 9:30, so be sure to plan accordingly!
4th of July at Robbins Farm Park (Arlington), Tuesday, 6 p.m.
Want to see the fireworks in Boston but don't want to head into town or watch them in your living room? The city of Arlington has a great event lined up. Starting at 6 p.m., you can enjoy live music, food, games, etc. Then, they'll stream the fireworks from Boston on a giant screen, which is much more preferable than lining up all day around the Charles River (IMHO)!
