The holidays are inching closer, but holiday-esque events are winding down (though there are some Menorah lighting ceremonies next week that I'll try to post, so keep an eye out for those!). Below are events in the area this weekend - 3 holiday ones and another sensory storytime at the Medford Public Library. Here's hoping your holiday shopping is done. Mine sure isn't!
Merry Minstrels Musical Performance
If you're in need of some good old-fashioned Christmas music, the Woburn Public Library is hosting the Merry Minstrels on Saturday at 2 p.m. This group has appeared at a lot of popular events in the area over the last few weeks, but this one should be more contained (translation: no lines!), so it's worth checking out.
Santa & Helpers Visit from the North Pole
If you're still in search of holiday photos with Santa, The Ford Tavern has the perfect event for you on Saturday. Enjoy something from their delicious menu, pose for photos with Santa and even take home a gift from the big guy.
Sensory Storytime is Back at the Medford Public Library!
By now, you might know that we love the Medford Public Library. It's newly renovated and includes a sensory space for kids, one of the many things that makes it a truly inclusive spce. This weekend, the library is hosting a sensory storytime event for neurodivergent children. You need to pre-register for this one, so if you want to attend, email Maddi at mranieri@minlib.net.
Winchester is home to many beautiful historic houses - houses that get really festive for the holiday season.Think of it as a Newport mansion--esque tour but without the drive. This is a ticketed event, however, and tickets can only be purchased at Book Ends in Winchester (great opportunity to shop local and support small business!).
