A new school year is just about to start, and that means new activities for the kids! Your child may have been asking to take piano lessons, tap dancing, singing, gymnastics, acting, or one of thousands of other activities. KIDSTOCK Creative theater is a sponsor for our After School Classes and Activities Guide.

Founded in 1992, Kidstock! Creative Theater is dedicated to a unique approach in education through the performing arts for children of all ages and experience. For Kidstock!, every student is a star.Our classes, summer camp, birthday parties, and enrichment programs focus on the process and teamwork involved in bringing any story or idea to life onstage with the support and guidance of a professional staff and access to the highest level of resources in a creative and noncompetitive environment.

Jingle's Clubhouse- Ages 18 months - 3 years

A weekly parent/child guided journey exploring make believe, movement, music & art

Jingle, our Kidstock! mascot, welcomes our youngest friends into his Clubhouse, a creative space for self expression, discovery and imaginative play! Our Kidstock! Educational Artist will the lead the class as you and your child share the experience. A typical class will begin with a welcome song, explore musical instruments and creative movement. We will then transition to art, where you can guide your child through a planned art project. We will end our time together with an interactive story time and goodbye song.

Storystage classes are a chance for young imaginations to explore how to "play" with a story onstage with costumes, scenery and props. Each week, a new storybook from our session's theme guides us through dramatic character play, musical movement games, crafting an art project and theater exercises focused on positive self expression and creative problem solving. Every student will find their own unique voice and discover new ways to communicate!


Acting Up! - Ages 5-6An intro to dramatic play • 75 minute class • Six week session

The Acting Up! class teaches basic skills in acting through vocal and physical expression and how to use costumes and props onstage to develop characters and a plot. Each week we use a new book related to our theme to create a fun, participatory play and create our own props as an art activity.

The Stage Players class empowers every student to be a playwright and actor as we work together as a class build an original script and then turn it into a play. Classes focus on developing acting skills, improvisational play, collaborative thinking, and respect for each other's ideas. The full session ends with a final original play for family and friends!


Screen ACT-ion JUNIOR - Ages 7-10

Interactive screenwriting & moviemaking • 90 minute class • Six week session

Our Screen ACT-ion Junior class involves every student as both screenwriter and movie star as we develop an original screenplay with a mix of defined characters, plot structure, and improvised theater to create a fully edited movie. Students develop screen acting skills, collaborative thinking, improvisational play, and respect for each other's ideas. After the session is over, students and their family and friends are invited back for a screening of the movie and receive a copy via email.

Our Screen ACT-ion Senior class involves every student as both screenwriter and movie star as we develop an original screenplay with a mix of defined characters, plot structure, and improvised theater to create a fully edited movie. Students develop screen acting skills, collaborative thinking, improvisational play, and respect for each other's ideas. After the session is over, students and their family and friends are invited back for a screening of the movie and receive a copy via email.

The NEXT STAGE of creative challenges after STAGE PLAYERS!The Improv Troupe class helps students build adaptive skills that involve teamwork, problem solving, and quick thinking. With the foundations of acting skills already established, students enhance character work through costume, props, and creative dialogue. Classes focus on taking scene work to the next level by integrating concepts of comedic timing, improvisational rules, and enhanced stage presence. Quick on-your-feet thinking, elements of stand-up comedy, and basics of clowning are all elements introduced in this class.


One Act Players - Ages 10-14 - NEW FOR 2019-2020!

The One Act Players class empowers every student to be a playwright and actor as we work together as a class to not only conceive but also write an original script and then turn it into a play with rehearsal. Classes focus on developing acting skills, improvisational play, collaborative thinking, and respect for each other's ideas. The full session ends with a final original one act play for family and friends!
