Help a Burlington Child have a Happy Holiday

By Cheryl Lachendro Macaroni Kid Publisher November 8, 2018

People Helping People will distribute wishes and gifts to children in need in the town of Burlington through the People Helping People Wish Tree during the month of December. The Wish Tree will be at the Burlington Mall, 75 Middlesex Turnpike, from Nov. 23rd until Dec. 12th.

People Helping People has been coordinating this program for many years. PHP is looking for people to sit at the wish tree for a two-hour window. This is a good opportunity for high school students to earn community service hours. Interested parties should contact Janet Fitzgerald at sullivanfh@comcast.net. PHP is also looking for people to “adopt a child.” Interested parties should contact Judy Walsh at Judyw621@gmail.com or 617-797-6786. For information, visit http://peoplehelpingpeopleinc.org.

We are always looking for help during the Holiday Program (November/December).

You can help in many ways:

  • Adopt a child/family
  • Volunteer to sit at the Wish Tree for a two-hour shift,
  • Volunteer to pick gifts up at the mall
  • Help sort gifts distributed to families
