Visit the Pumpkin Patch in Burlington to Benefit People Helping People

7th Annual Pumpkin Patch September 29 - October 31

By Cheryl Lachendro September 19, 2019

Each Year, during the month of October, People Helping People of Burlington creates a pumpkin patch on the lawn of St. Mark's Church. They sell pumpkins and gourds, have raffles, games and picture taking. Many churches, service organizations, business, and other volunteers help with the selling.

All of the profits are given to People Helping People in order to support the town food pantry which is located on St. Mark's property. The pumpkins are sent to them on a “consignment basis” meaning People Helping People does not not pay for all the pumpkins, just the ones they sell and they do not have to pay anything upfront. These pumpkins are grown on a Navajo reservation in New Mexico which provides jobs for Native Americans.

Be sure to come visit the Pumpkin Patch  beginning September 29th and ending October 31st. 100% of the profit made from selling the pumpkins goes to helping support the People Helping People Food Pantry. The patch will be open Monday through Friday from 12-6PM and Saturday and Sunday from 11-6PM.

If you are a church, service organization, or business, and would like to help People Helping People sell pumpkins to raise money for their organization, please give them a call or send them an email.
