Burlington is lucky to have so many great parks and playgrounds for kids. My son has swung, spun, and raced through many of them ... and definitely have their favorites!
Here’s a list of our family’s top five favorite parks and playgrounds in Burlington and the reasons we love them:
#1 Park name: Simonds Park
Location: Corner of Bedford Street & Cambridge Street
Features:
- Two lighted little league baseball fields
- One softball field
- Two lighted tennis courts
- Two lighted basketball courts
- One wading pool
- One playground
- One skate park with half-pipe
- One street hockey court
- Picnic Area
- One concession stand
- Restrooms
- Visco Building
What my kid loves: My son particularly loves the zip line! He also loves the variety of the equipment.
What I love: I love that the park is completely fenced in with one way in and one way out!
2. Park name: Rahanis Park
Location: 84 Mill St. Patriot Road
Features:
- Two multi-purpose fields
- Two softball fields
- Six tennis courts
- One basketball court
- One sand volleyball court
- One playground
- Picnic area
- Restrooms
- Burlington Dog Park
What my kid loves: My son loves to watch the different dogs interact with their owners. He would love to get a dog of his own.
What I love: I love the many options of things to do this park has to offer!
3. Park name: Regan Park
Location: 88 Sumpter Rd.
Features:
- One little league baseball field
- One basketball court
- One playground
What my kid loves: Siblings love playing on the playground while watching Little League Baseball games.
What I love: I love younger kids have a place to play while older kids are playing baseball.
4. Park name: Wildwood Park
Location: 114 Bedford St.
Features:
- Two multi-purpose fields
- Two basketball court
- One playground
- Walking trail
- Picnic Area
What my kid love: The playground equipment is a huge hit for my son!
What I love: I always feel nostalgic when we spend time at Wildwood Park. It was this site that once housed my elementary school- Wildwood Elementary School. Lots of memories run through my mind as we play on the updated playground equipment.
5. Park name: Overland Park
Location: 1 Edgemere Ave.
Features:
- One basketball court
- One playground
What my kid love: My son loves the peace and quiet of this park along with the cool views being up high.
What I love: The major draw to this park is the open green space. Gorgeous views while picnicking, walking on trails, playing frisby or throwing a ball with your dog make this a top 5 park to visit.
